THE OMICRON SUB-VARIANT HAS SEEN AN INCREASE IN CASES AND DEATHS IN THAT COUNTRY

Turkey Medicals – Jun 05, 2022, the Omicron BA in Europe, Portugal and Germany.as the share of 5 cases increases, it faces the possibility of further Covid-19 measures later in the year.

In Portugal, despite the hot weather, Omicron BA.the sudden increase in cases and deaths of Covid-5 triggered by the 19 sub-variant is causing capitals in Europe to once again consider measures against a pandemic that is beginning to be erased from the public’s memory.

Portugal confirmed 26,848 new cases on Wednesday, recording 47 Covid-19 deaths, is reported.

This trend contrasts with the pandemic situation in France, Germany, the United Kingdom and Spain, where case rates have been falling for the past two months.

April May saw 1,455 people die from Covid-19 as the country entered its sixth wave of pandemic, according to figures from the Portuguese Ministry of Health.

The latest published report said that “deaths from all causes were above the expected values for that time of year” and that there had been “an increase in certain deaths from Covid-19”.

Portugal recorded 2,888 new cases per million people in the seven days to June 2, while its neighbor Spain recorded 373 new cases per million in the same period.

Spain recorded 199 deaths in the seven days ended March 29. The proportion of Covid-19 patients in hospitals fell from 5.64% to 5.53%, while the proportion of corona virus patients in Spain’s intensive care units fell from 4.25% to 3.98%.

Although most restrictions have been lifted in Spain, use of masks remains mandatory in public transport and in hospitals, health centers, pharmacies and nursing homes.
