TURKISH REPUBLIC OF NORTH CYPRUS CLOSES ITS BORDERS TO PASSENGERS OF 7 COUNTRIES

The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) has decided to stop the entry of passengers from South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini, Mozambique into the TRNC until further notice from November 29 2021 due to the new mutation of Covid-19 Omicron.

The number of countries imposing travel restrictions on African countries is increasing every day due to Omicron, the new mutation of Covid-19 that has been detected in South Africa.

A statement by the TRNC Ministry of Health said that due to the Omicron mutation, passengers from

  • Zimbabwe
  • Namibia
  • Lesotho
  • Eswatini
  • Mozambique

will be stopped from entering the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus TRNC until further notice.

NORTH CYPRUS QUARANTINE REQUIREMENT

In a statement, Question 7 from African countries, or from these countries within the past 14 days 23.59 tomorrow in their 14-day quarantine, can enter with the requirements of the TRNC, 29 November 2021 from the subject countries would be stopped until further notice from the entrance to the TRNC.
