NEW REGULATION FOR OVER-60S AND DISABLED DOCTORS

The Turkey Ministry of Health has facilitated the working conditions of Turkish doctors over 60 and disabled who work in a private hospital in Turkey. Turkish doctors who have been forced to retire due to lack of staff will also be able to continue working.

The Ministry of Health in Turkey has amended the regulation on Turkish private hospitals. According to this, Turkish doctors over the age of 60 and 60 percent disabled will be able to work in private hospitals and private medical institutions in Turkey where outpatient diagnosis and treatment are performed, although there are no empty staff.

With the same arrangement, Turkish doctors who retire due to lack of staff will be able to continue working in the same way. Turkish Doctors ‘ rights will continue in the same way if they want to leave the organization where they work and work in another organization.

THE NEW ARRANGEMENT IS AS FOLLOWS

Article 1-sub-paragraph (3) of paragraph (e) of the first paragraph of October 5 2021 of the regulation on private hospitals in Turkey published in the Turkish Official Gazette dated 27/3/2002 and numbered 24708 has been amended as follows.

“3) Doctors over the age of 60 and Doctors with a disability rate of at least 60 percent can work in private hospitals without looking for vacant staff. Turkish Physicians working within the scope of this paragraph may work in two more private health institutions within the scope of Planning, provided that they comply with Article 12 of the Law No. 1219. One of these organizations may also be a Turkish private health organization covered by planning outside the province where it works.”

Article 2-the following paragraph has been added to the provisional Article 9 of the same regulation.

“As of the date of entry into force of this paragraph, doctors who have retired due to lack of staff working under sub-paragraph (3) of paragraph (e) of the first paragraph of October 5 may continue to work in the same way. Doctors ‘ rights continue in the same way if they want to work in another organization by leaving the organization in which they work.”

Article 3-this regulation shall enter into force on the date of its publication.

Article 4-the provisions of this regulation are executed by the Turkish Minister of Health.
