NARCISSISTIC PERSONALITY DISORDER IS BECOMING COMMON

Narcissistic personality disorder is also called’ self-esteem’. Turkey Medicals member and Turkish professor who explains the causes of narcissistic personality disorder, explains the way it occurs, and ‘constructive narcissism’ personality disorder is becoming widespread, ” he said.

Primary selfishness, that is, narcissism, is found in every living being. It is the ‘primary narcissistic’ processes in a dynamic sense that a baby constantly cries and demands his own needs, waiting for him to be taken care of in this sense.

As the baby grows, its cognitive functions, self-care skills, humorous abilities, social brain functions, empathy ability develop. He learns to be self-sufficient, to share with people.

It acquires sophisticated features such as being selfless, engaging in emotional exchanges with people, displaying humorous and artistic skills. In this way, he becomes free and mature from his primary narcissistic processes, which function as’ always give me, only love me’. In a person who cannot complete these processes with maturity, secondary narcissistic processes come into play, leading to the development of a narcissistic personality pattern.

In particular, the sense of superiority, the need to be liked and the inability to empathize displayed in different environments are considered as distinguishing elements for Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Narcissistic people feel very ’important‘ and ’special’.

They exaggerate their achievements and abilities. But they think that special or highly successful people can understand themselves. They often find themselves ‘justified’ in any environment and expect to be favored by others.

They always aim to be successful, strong and flawless and want to be highly appreciated. In order to succeed, they do not avoid using interpersonal relationships for their own benefit or using the weaknesses of others for their own purposes.

Individuals with narcissistic personality disorder generally do not understand the feelings and needs of other people. They exhibit smug attitudes and are often jealous of others or believe that others are jealous of themselves.

We all love ourselves, even the whole existence, the world and people at a reasonable and logical rate. However, if the person is over 18, and these features of a person’s social, emotional, vocational and/or academic breaks the functionality, if you have any insight about one’s own behavior, so as always if you see yourself rightly, modern psychiatry and psychology, this ‘narcissistic personality disorder’ is called.

Everybody loves themselves. It is not recommended in the name of psychological well-being to show unnecessary humility. if a person’s condition and behavior turn into a destructive one, it causes a deterioration in their overall functionality and always treats the people opposite as unfair, this is now a ‘personality disorder’.

In case you, the person must necessarily get professional help. In professional assistance, there is the use of psychotherapy and medication in Turkey, depending on the situation.

Let’s love ourselves and everyone, but let’s not exaggerate and overdo it. Let’s always green our empathy.

Let’s not forget that if narcissism is between reasonable and logical boundaries, that is, if a person tries to add to it by realizing their own plus values, and does not hurt or force anyone to do so, he leads that person to success. This is called ‘constructive narcissism’. However, if it is large enough to disrupt general functionality, the person becomes alienated to everyone and remains alone.
