HOW TABS ARE REFLECTED IN THE EFFECTS OF THE CORONA VIRUS

Experts in Antalya, Turkey decry the link between COVID and nail health, saying nails look like skin and can give clues about one’s health. New findings in their research in Turkey showed that nails provide information about whether COVID has been passed on.

It will be almost two years since the pandemic began, but the scientific world is still investigating the effects of the virus, and every day they are signing up to new research aimed at recognizing the virus.

Finally, experts have decried the link between nail health and COVID. The researchers note that the nails elongate in cycles of about six months, so any change in appearance caused by the corona virus can occur delayed.

Nail abnormalities; vitamin deficiency, skin disorders, diabetes, such as causes can be caused. But dermatologists suggested it was no coincidence that people caught with Covid had changes to their nails.

So how are the effects of Covid observed on nails?

.
1. HORIZONTAL LINES

A professor who is the lead researcher in a major symptom study conducted together by Akdeni̇z uni̇versi̇ty i̇n Antalya southern Medi̇terranean sea Turkey, notes that survivors of Covid have horizontal lines on their nails after infection.

Reasearcher, notes that the lines may be a sign that COVID has been passed, as can be seen as a result of diseases such as heart failure, malaria and lymphoma.

.
2. OVERHANGS

Similar thin protrusions on the nails, medically called beau lines, are also reported in COVID patients. The symptom was recently identified by German doctors in a 47 year-old female. All of the patient’s fingernails and toenails had protrusions in lines about 5 mm from the nail bed.

.
3. RED HALF MOON

Everyone has a half-moon shape on their nail bed. In some people, this is more noticeable with a red color after Covid.

Experts saw a red band over the shape of the crescent after just two days in patients who developed covid symptoms. It took only a week for the image to return to normal.

.
4. ORANGE TIPS

Another symptom of COVID disease may be orange, which occurs at the tips of the nails. An elderly woman who contracted the virus while in a care home in Italy has been seen. The discoloration continued for at least another month after the illness.

.
5. REMOVED QUOTATION

A condition in which the nail is divided into two parts, usually called “nail loss”, which is thought to occur due to a temporary pause in nail elongation.

Currently, this condition is also observed in other infections, especially autoimmune diseases.

But researchers cite a woman hospitalized for COVID as a symptom of the virus. Turkey Medicals member and Mediface Doctors say the patient’s old nails have separated and new ones have come out of the base.
