MUTATED VIRUS AND THE SYMPTOMS

The mutated corona virus, which was found to be 70 percent more contagious in the first studies, caused fear and anxiety in Turkey as well as all over the world. Symptoms of the mutated corona virus include cough and respiratory symptoms.

Corona virus mutations, which occur one after the other around the world, further increase epidemic concern. Citizens against the mutated corona virus, which is seen in many European countries as well as in our country, have also increased their measures.

WHAT IS MUTATION AND VARIANT?

Mutations are changes in the overall structure of the virus. A variant is called a new virus that develops with a mutation.

SYMPTOMS OF MUTATION CORONA VIRUS

Dean of Gazi University Faculty of Medicine, Head of the Department of Public Health and member of the Council of Social Sciences of the Ministry of Health Prof. Dr. has made statements about the mutated corona virus in recent weeks.

Prof. Dr. “The number of people infected is greater, they may have a milder disease, or when they are infected, they may have a disease again, and they may have a milder episode, so the rate of lethality may have decreased. We need to follow up and see this. It is necessary to comply with restrictions, our citizens should think that if 70 percent of them are infected, at least I need to take double precautions. We know that 15 patients from the UK are being treated and their relatives are in quarantine. Our colleagues in the UK say that cough and respiratory symptoms are more common. Here, too, it probably is,” he said.

WHAT IS A MUTATION?

A mutation or change is a permanent change in the DNA or RNA sequence within the genome of a living being. A variant is called a new virus that develops with a mutation.

Mutations are divided into germ line mutations and somatic mutations in general. A mutation that occurs within tissue cells is not transmitted from generation to generation, as it cannot be inherited. Bodily (somatic) mutations are not hereditary in this sense. Sexual (reproductive) cell mutations, also known as germ line mutations, are inherited and passed on to the next generation.

Mutations are all changes in Hereditary structure that do not alter the normal combination of hereditary material. Mutation term in general,

  • Change of chromosome structure,
