MOURNING FOR THE WHOLE DORM
Morning 10 November …
Everyone was with Ataturk… They were waiting in despair and sadness. Hasan Riza Soyak said to Kılıç Ali: “Kılıç look, a whole history is passing away.”
Ataturk looked at those next to him for the last time with his beautiful blue eyes. Everyone was crying. She turned her head to the side, her eyes closed. The following lines were written in the last watch book: “He passed away at 09:05.”
When he closed his eyes to life, there was mourning all over the country. All that was heard were the sounds of sobs mingled with the tears of a nation lovingly attached to its Ancestor. He still lives and will live forever in the independent and modern Republic of Turkey, which he entrusted to us, with his ideas, revolutions and cherished memory.

ATATURK IN HIS OWN WORDS
– There are two Mustafa Kemal: One is me, flesh and bone, temporary Mustafa Kemal… The second is Mustafa Kemal, I can’t express him with the word “I”; he’s not me, he’s us! He is an enlightened and warlike community that strives for new ideas, new life and a great country in every corner of the country.
– Seeing me does not necessarily mean seeing my face. If you understand and feel my ideas, my feelings, this is enough.
– There may come a time when efforts may appear that want to forget me or make me forget. There may be those who deny my ideas and those who displace me. But the seeds that we sow are so strong that these ideas come back from India, Egypt, come back, their fruitful results fill the hearts.
– I leave no dogma, no frozen and stereotyped rules as my spiritual heritage. My spiritual heritage is knowledge and reason.
– I will give my life to the Turkish Nation as my greatest gift when necessary.
– Freedom and independence are my character. I am a man created with the love of independence, which is the most precious legacy of my nation and great-grandfather!
– I cannot describe the pleasure and good fortune of meeting closely and away from ostentation with my people. Whenever I see myself in front of my nation, whenever I look at the faces of a few members of my nation, the light that comes to my soul and conscience from there becomes a most precious flame of inspiration and efficiency for me!
