PAY ATTENTION TO MOUTH SORES THAT DO NOT PASS WITHIN 1 WEEK

The causes of mouth sores that occur during seasonal changes and cause difficulty during movements such as talking, swallowing, chewing may vary. Turkey Medicals member and clinic department Oral and Dental Health Expert gave information about the subject, saying that mouth sores that do not exceed 1 week and repeat themselves for a long time can be a harbinger of different diseases.

For the Oral and Dental Health Expert in Antalya, Turkey, which refers to the importance of the immune system, “With the sudden cooling of the air, our immune system is trying to adapt itself to both the heat and the allergens in the environment, various flu viruses. Therefore, due to the weakening of the immune system at this point, mouth sores increase during the passage of the season,” she said.

AN EXCESS OF VITAMINS TAKEN CAN TRIGGER MOUTH SORES

Dt, who stated that along with the coronavirus process, people are taking fortified foods to strengthen their immune system, and expressed observations as follows:

“Even when we are going to the grocery store, we are looking at what is missing from our refrigerator. With the coronavirus process, people began to take a lot of external vitamins to strengthen the immune system. If the immune system is strong, it is strong. The immune system will not get stronger. If our body is full of vitamins, when we take it on top of it, it doesn’t have a more beneficial effect, it’s harmful. This can permanently damage not only the mouth, but also our entire body, even our internal organs. It is possible that an excess of all vitamins accumulates in our body, some of them cannot be excreted and cause harm. That’s why I generally find it useful to take a blood test before taking an vitamin and mineral to see if your body really needs it.”

PREFER MINISTRY OF HEALTH APPROVED TOOTHPASTES

”Recently, we have seen that not only the seasonal changes, but also the mouth sores in general have been increasing all the time for close to 1 year,” said, continued her words as follows:

“I attribute this situation only to the more intensive use of herbal pastes approved by the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture. At this point, only substances that are not toxic to the body are being looked at. However, Ministry of Health approved pastes also look at substances that are not extra harmful to oral tissues, and some plants in herbal pastes have irritating, allergenic effects on oral tissues.”

.
IT CAN BE A HARBINGER OF DIFFERENT DISEASES

Stating that mouth sores can pass by themselves within 1 week, hot and cold foods should be avoided at that time,  said, “If there is a continuous aphthus in the mouth, it may be a symptom for Behcet disease. It can be a preliminary symptom of AIDS. The first symptom of many diseases begins in the mouth. If it is constantly recurring, it may be a symptom of another systemic disease. In some bodies, things such as aphthae, herpes are viral. If there is a virus in the body, it repeats itself when the immune system weakens a little. If a person has a cold and a cold, aphthae can accompany the disease, there is no medicine for this. The drugs used are mostly things that will provide comfort for a person’s daily life,” she said.

.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ACCELERATING RECOVERY

Stating that there are different types of mouth wounds, many of them can also pass by themselves, said, “There are many different types of mouth wounds, as well as mouth wounds caused by trauma. It’s like something hard scratches our mouth at some point, like eating a hot food. The biggest disadvantage of mouth sores is that we constantly talk and eat something, so we can’t protect these wounds from trauma and give them time to heal. We can not use drugs that are applied too much into the mouth. There are some auxiliary agents based on silicone that cover these wounds. They can be bought at pharmacies and prevented from getting worse, at least by constantly contacting the dental tissues of these wounds. In addition, recovery can be accelerated by reducing the consumption of too many hot, cold, acidic foods, smoking, alcohol consumption,” she said.

Turkey Medicals, said that mouthwashes made with carbonated or salt water for mouth sores can also be effective.
