THE TIME SPENT IN THE TOILET WITH A MOBILE PHONE CAUSES THIS DISEASE!

Turkish Associate Professor, Department of General Surgery, Odabaş Medical Center, Van Yüzüncü Yil University (YYU). Dr. said that the time spent in the toilet triggered hemorrhoids, which are popularly known as hemorrhoids.

Assoc. Dr. noted that his scientific work” Studying the Relationship of Smartphones with Hemorrhoids ” has received acclaim on the platform both nationally and internationally.

Explaining that his three-year-old work has been published in the international Turkish Journal of Colorectal Disease (Turkish Colorectal Diseases), noted:

“Hemorrhoids are a common disease. According to some studies, as the age increases, about 60 percent of the population after the age of 50 complain of hemorrhoids. In parallel, mobile phones are now available to everyone, in all spheres of life. Social media is widely used on smartphones. There are even situations such as social media addiction. We observed that some of our patients go to the bathroom while using their mobile phones.

In our outpatient examinations, when the patients said, ‘I’m going to the bathroom with my mobile phone,’ we wanted to investigate this. We conducted a joint study at our center with a hospital in Istanbul. Our goal was to determine how many percent of the society went to the toilet with a mobile phone, while looking at social media from a mobile phone.”

Dr, who stated that they had conducted this study on 1684 people who participated in their surveys, continued as follows:

“In our study, we had a control group without complaints of hemorrhoids. 882 patients with hemorrhoid complaints and 802 people without any hemorrhoid complaints were enrolled in this study. We came to interesting conclusions. In our study, we found that the number of people who go to the toilet with a mobile phone is very high. Both in the patient and in the control group, people go to the toilet with a mobile phone.

We found that people who go to the toilet with a mobile phone spend more time in the sink. Too much time spent in the toilet leads to a high pressure in the anal area for a long time. Pressure in the anal region is a risk factor in the pathogenesis of hemorrhoids. Because of this pressure, complaints of hemorrhoids are increasing. We have based our hypothesis on this. About 50 percent of the group of patients with hemorrhoids go to the bathroom by phone. Of those who go to the bathroom by phone, 26 percent also spend time on social media. Most of them also spend time on social media for close to 10 minutes.”

Assoc. Dr. “The habit of going to the toilet with smartphones is a risk factor for hemorrhoids,” Steel said, noting that under normal conditions, no more than 2 to 5 minutes are spent the sink, but those who go to the toilet with a mobile phone stay in the toilet for a longer time.

Our findings support this. The society needs to know that going to the Turkish toilet with a mobile phone is a risk factor, if possible, get rid of the habit of going to the sink and toilet by phone in Turkey. The use of phones in Turkey in the sink can be considered a risk factor. It is more important for their health that citizens in Turkey do not go to the bathroom with a mobile phone. “he used the phrase”
