A FIRST IN THE WORLD MEDICAL LITERATURE! COVID-19 MIMICKED LUNG CANCER
He was diagnosed with lung cancer in Kahramanmaras.T.(52) of the coronavirus test came back positive. N., who was treated with Covid-19 before surgery. A study found that coronavirus mimics lung cancer. Faculty member of the Department of Chest Surgery of the Health Practice and Research Hospital of the Imam University of Sutcliffe Dr. said that coronavirus mimics lung cancer, which is a first in the world medical literature.
N.T.a CT scan taken at the hospital where he went complaining of chest pain found a 4-centimeter tumor in his right lung. After further tests on suspicion that it may be cancer, N. T.he was diagnosed with lung cancer and ordered emergency surgery. N.T. he came to his hometown of Kahramanmaraş for surgery. Faculty member of the
Department of Chest Surgery of the Health Practice and Research Hospital of the Imam’s University of Sutcliffe Doctor also according to the results of tomography and tests N. T.he was diagnosed with lung cancer and told he needed surgery.

IF HE HAD LUNG CANCER, THE TUMOR WOULD NOT HAVE DISAPPEARED
Preoperative N.T.the operation was delayed when the Covid-19 test came back positive. Coronavirus treatment is introduced to N.T.the last test came back negative. Doctor, they saw the tumor in his lung disappear. and said there were no signs of coronavirus when he contacted them, but they did a pre-operative PCR test.
Turkish Doctor, who stated that the result after coronavirus treatment surprised him, said:
“Our patient is hit in the chest in another city where he works, and when his pain does not go away, he is admitted to a University Hospital. Here, the patient is given a lung chart. There’s a mass in his right lung. A CT scan of the lung is then performed on the patient and a mass of 4 centimeters in diameter, which is a significant size for thoracic surgery, with radiological findings similar to lung cancer, is detected. Lung cancer is the most common type of lung cancer. The patient is scheduled for surgery. Because the patient is from Kahramanmarash, he prefers to come to his hometown. He contacted us and complained of chest pain. He had no complaints such as cough, shortness of breath, sputum removal, fever. So we evaluated the patient and decided that he should have surgery. Because he had very similar radiological findings to lung cancer. According to the rules of our Ministry of health, each patient is tested for PCR before surgery. So we took a PCR test from the patient the night of the operation, and his test came back positive. We postponed our operation for 14 days and our patient was treated for coronavirus. The patient came back to us on the 14th day and the PCR test came back negative. We did a new CT scan and found that the tumor had completely disappeared. Now, when we go from the results information to the beginning, if it was a lung cancer, it wouldn’t have disappeared. If it had been due to another pathology, we would not expect it to disappear with the treatment we have given again. We gave him Antiviral therapy, and the patient’s radiological signs almost completely returned to normal. We explained this to the patient, saying, ‘it’s a radiological finding that’s never seen in the world literature.’ This is no longer on the patient’s lung chart, it is not lung cancer. “
