WHERE DOES THE MASK BAN APPLY? HAS THE MASK BEEN REMOVED AT SCHOOL, HOSPITAL AND PUBLIC TRANSPORT?

The decision on the mask ban, which has been causing controversy for some time, was made after a meeting of the Scientific Council. A circular about the mask was published by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The mask ban continues in schools, hospitals and public transport.

The Turkish Scientific Council has re-evaluated the points and restrictions reached in the fight against the epidemic and announced that the mask requirement has been lifted. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has also published a circular stating where the mask will continue to be worn.

.
WHERE DOES THE MASK BAN CONTINUE?

The application of the provisions on the use of masks, HES code inquiry and the request to submit a negative PCR test result has been terminated as of 03.03.2022.

From now on, there will be no obligation to use masks in open areas and closed places where social distancing can be applied and where there are appropriate ventilation conditions.

Until a new decision is taken in Turkey, School, Hospital, cinema, theater, indoor places, such as between persons with a lack of the necessary social distance bus, minibus, shuttle, train, subway, ferry, plane as well as all public transport vehicles (including long distance) will continue the implementation of a requirement for the use of the mask.

.
HAVE MASKS BEEN REMOVED ON AIRPLANES, BUSES AND SCHOOLS?

Minister of Health Turkey, who made a statement after the meeting where the new roadmap of the epidemic period was determined, used the following statements;

The decisions that we will explain in a moment are not decisions taken in full agreement. Some scientists have different opinions. As the Ministry of Health, we have taken the following decisions;

1- We don’t have to use masks outdoors anymore.

2- It is no longer necessary to wear a mask if ventilation is sufficient in a closed environment and there is a distance.

3- In the new period, the HES code application was removed. No institutions and organizations will be able to check the HES code.

4- People with no signs of the disease will not be asked for tests.

We continue to use masks in closed areas of schools, especially in closed areas where distance is not maintained; that is, in areas such as medical institutions such as airplanes, buses, theaters, cinemas, if distance cannot be maintained.

In addition, if it is a closed area and the distance can be maintained, then we say that it is not necessary to wear the mask in this case.

Is the mask out of our lives? He has not left our lives; but we say that we should carry the mask with us wherever necessary, especially in the environment where it is necessary to protect our elders from risky ones.

It is of course mandatory to use a mask in places where the distance cannot be maintained, such as cinemas, theaters, medical institutions, closed areas of schools, such as airplanes, buses, and shuttles related to closed areas.
