IS INSECT BITES DANGEROUS?

Along with the summer months, insect bites are among the most common complaints. Tick, Bee and scorpion stings can be life-threatening, while mosquitoes carry a small risk of carrying viruses and infecting diseases in Turkey.

‘The effect of an insect bite varies depending on the type of insect and the person’s sensitivity,’ said Dr, an emergency medicine specialist explained which insect can cause what problems and gave the following advice…

.

TICK

Ticks are more common in spring and summer. When a tick infects the body, they migrate to the armpits, groin, or areas with hair or dense bristles. Do not try to remove the tick by forcing it from the area where it is found or by pouring Cologne on it. A person bitten by a tick should immediately consult a doctor to meet any potential treatment needs, as diseases that pass from ticks to humans can lead to serious and severe problems.

BEE

Bee stings is quite common that an open-air may be burden. Treatment method varies depending on severity. While it is possible for most people to have treatment done at home to relieve pain, any bee sting can have serious consequences that require immediate treatment if you are allergic or suffer multiple stings. For this reason, it is recommended to contact medical institutions and undergo an examination in case of bee stings.

MOSQUITO

Very disturbing, only the females of these winged insects suck blood. Mosquitoes have a small risk of carrying viruses and infecting diseases. Among the most common diseases are yellow fever and malaria. The practical solution that can be applied to relieve itching caused by a mosquito bite is cold compress. If the blushing area swells, it should not itch. Lavender and clove flower can be useful in keeping mosquitoes away. Kitchen window and balcony windows can be closed with flapper as mosquitoes breed much faster in summer. If the number of both mosquitoes and other pests increases noticeably during the summer season, the apartment should be medicated.

Scorpion stings are common in Turkey. If the necessary measures are not taken in a short time in scorpion sting, the person may lose his life. Especially infants, children, the elderly, those with heart and lung disease are the groups most affected by scorpion bites. Deaths are usually observed under 6 years of age. In scorpion stings, you should go to the hospital to get medical support without wasting time.
