GUM PROBLEMS AFFECT SEXUAL PERFORMANCE

According to some recent research studies in Turkey universities, problems related to sexuality are three times more common in men who have gum problems than others.

The intraoral region is an area open to all kinds of external influences where there is intense germ activity. It is home to many diseases, especially teeth and gums. Diseases such as caries, tooth root inflammation, abscess and cyst formation in the later stages pose serious problems in this area. In addition, gum disease, as an infectious disease that affects the tissues surrounding and supporting the tooth, leads to the loss of even teeth that never have caries.
.

Long-term gum swelling, red or bleeding gums, tooth sensitivity and bad breath; they can be signals of gum diseases and, if not treated in a timely manner, can have serious consequences for your entire body. Dental and gum diseases are a risk factor for heart disease, pregnancy, diabetes, and respiratory diseases.

.
TRIGGERING A HEART ATTACK

People with an intraoral infection had 32 percent more heart attacks compared to people without an infection. Individuals with advanced gingivitis and dental diseases have a 26 percent higher risk of developing heart disease than healthy people. Again, men younger than 50 years of age with advanced gingivitis have a 70 percent higher risk of developing heart disease than their healthy counterparts. Severe gingivitis and dental diseases adversely affect the control of diabetes mellitus. It has also been revealed that there is an improvement in the control of blood values of diabetics after gum treatment.

.
CAUSES PREMATURE BIRTH

Again, problems such as premature birth, low birth weight, and infant death in the womb are observed in mothers with advanced gingivitis and dental diseases. People with dental and gum disease can develop lung infections by inhaling saliva. Plaque that accumulates in the tooth in high-risk patients with poor oral hygiene acts as a source of microbes that trigger respiratory diseases. Bacteria and viruses that cause lung diseases in high-risk patients, such as patients requiring intensive care and home care, accumulate in the mouth. For this reason, it is very important to make oral hygiene appropriate. It is recommended that patients with systemic conditions that fall into the high-risk group eliminate the risk factors that they will create by starting dental treatment before starting treatment.
.

According to a recent study conducted in Turkey, it has been stated that gum disease causes common vascular pathologies in the body in people and this condition can lead to erection problems. It has been stated that erectile dysfunction is three times more common in men who have gum problems compared to others, and dental problems have been observed more often in patients who have erection problems.
