THE GOLDEN RATIO IN DENTAL AESTHETICS

Besides naturalness, aesthetics is also important in smile design. The golden ratio is also used to ensure complete symmetry. This means that the height and width of the upper teeth are designed to be 1/16 of the height and width of the face

Turkey Medicals – the number of phi (Q=1.618…), called the golden ratio, is the number of perfect geometry that exists in nature. This ratio is also used to ensure complete symmetry when designing a smile.

According to this rule, the height and width of the upper incisors are designed to be 1/16 of the height and width of the face.

.
HORIZONTAL ALIGNMENT

Usually in a natural and aesthetic smile, the line passing through the pupils of the eyes and the line passing through the middle of the teeth are parallel.

.
FACIAL SYMMETRY

Since the mismatch in the shape and size of the front incisors is easily noticed, it is important to ensure symmetry in these teeth. Symmetry adds charm when creating an ideal smile.

.
SMILE LINE

The more harmonious the curvature of the lower lip with the curve drawn to connect the incisors of the front teeth, the younger and more attractive the person will have a smile.

.
THE GUM LINE SHOULD BE LARGER THAN THE WIDTH

When the gum line that appears when smiling is parallel to the upper lip line, it adds meaning to the expression.

.
SMILE WIDTH

For an aesthetic smile, the teeth on the back should also appear at a certain point.

.
EMBRASURES

The natural triangular spaces between the ends of Dec teeth are called ‘Embrasures’.

In an aesthetic and ideal smile, the dimensions of the embrasures increase from the front teeth to the back teeth.

The ratio of the width of the front two teeth to their height should also correspond to the golden ratio; the apparent length of the tooth should be greater than its width.

.
SHADOWS ON THE TEETH

The color and transparency of a natural tooth vary in the neck, incisor, and middle areas of the tooth.

.
GINGIVOPLASTY (GUM MANICURE)

A solution is offered by the gingivoplasty method in Turkey to the condition where the gums look more than usual when some people laugh, called a Gummy Smile. In this treatment method, the excess gum tissue that disrupts the aesthetics of the smile is corrected with a small operation by determining the level and shape of the gum by working together with an aesthetic dentist and a periodontist.

(The operation is performed under local anesthesia; if there is also an aesthetic problem with the teeth, the problem is eliminated in a short time with porcelain laminates in Turkey.)

.
GUM GRAFT

In areas where there is a lot of gum extraction, the teeth look as if they are longer. By adding tissue to these areas with a gum graft, it can be made to look more aesthetic.

In addition, due to tooth extraction, sometimes a collapse of the jawbone and, as a result, an asymmetrical appearance of the gums may occur.

If the gums do not look right, the treatments that will be applied to the teeth will not show themselves; in these cases, by applying a gum graft, asymmetrical gums can get a pleasant appearance.

.
BONE GRAFT

Where the bone is insufficient, it is used to increase the amount of bone; artificial or natural bone powders are placed in the area deemed necessary to ensure sufficient bone height and width and are expected to fuse.

Then the operation in Istanbul or Antalya hospital, dentistry clinic can be started.

.
HOW MANY TYPES OF SMILE EXPRESSIONS ARE THERE?

Expressions of laughter are collected in 3 main headings:

1- Attractive Smile (Sexy Smile): It is a low design in which the front teeth are long compared to the side teeth. This design is young, dynamic and gives the hammer a smile. It is more suitable for individuals of a young age.

2- In an Intellectual Smile: The teeth are arranged in the form of a horizontal, straight line. This smile gives the face a mature and knowledgeable expression.

3- A Sporty Smile: Is a smile in which the middle incisors are slightly longer than the side teeth. There is both an intellectual and attractive smile mood in the expression, it gives a sincere and warm expression.

.
ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT IN ADULTS

Wrinkles caused by non-displacement of teeth due to reasons such as neglected, untreated, or 20-year-old teeth in childhood cause both aesthetic problems and make it difficult to maintain dental cleanliness and oral hygiene.

Thanks to the developing technology and treatment techniques, orthodontic treatment can also be applied in adults. Nowadays, thanks to the brackets produced in millimeter size and tooth color, patients have been able to look at orthodontic treatment more warmly.

The fact that ceramic brackets and teflon wires can be used in the treatment of orthodontics offers a more aesthetic appearance. The duration of treatment varies depending on the condition of the cross on the teeth. During this period, there are certain weeks that need to be observed.

It is necessary to avoid consuming foods that are difficult to clean when they stick to the wires, such as hard, crusty, chips, acidic drinks, and to pay more attention to brushing your teeth than usual.

.
SMILE DESIGN TURKEY

When designing a smile, facial features, age, gender, the order and color of the teeth, gums, lips; smile symmetry are the defining characteristics.

The facial features of the person provide information for the appropriate tooth shape.

In Women: The transitions are softer, the arches of the nose and eyebrows are more siliceous.
