Turkey iResidence noted that offering 300 days of sunshine with sun, sea and sand Antalya ranks third after Istanbul and Ankara in the number of foreign population, and fourth after Yalova, Kırşehir, Karabük in the density of foreign population.

.
97 THOUSAND KONYA AND 78 THOUSAND BURDUR

“2 million 482 thousand Turkish citizens are registered in the population of 1 million 90 thousand, that is, 44 percent of the population is registered in the Antalya population register,”said Turkey iResidence, who said that 44 percent of those living in Antalya are registered in the Antalya population register. 97 thousand of our compatriots are registered in the population of Konya, 78 thousand in Burdur, 63 thousand in Isparta, 48 thousand in Diyarbakir, 44 thousand in Sanliurfa, 42 thousand in Hatay, 40 thousand in Afyonkarahisar.

The population of our compatriots, whose population register is Sivas, Ankara, Adana, Kayseri, Mersin, Van, Istanbul, Kahramanmaras, Gaziantep, ranges from 30-38 dec per province,” said.

.
MEDIAN AGE IS ABOVE THE TURKISH AVERAGE

”The median age in Antalya is 35 years, which is higher than the Turkish average of 32,” iResidence said:

”654 thousand people are under the age of 18. our population is 248 thousand in the 18-24 age group, 607 thousand in the 25-39 age group, 889 thousand in the 40-65 age group, and 220 thousand in the over 65 age group.

The population growth rate declined during the pandemic. Our population growth has declined significantly in 2020, the year of the pandemic. The population growth rate decreased from 1.4 percent to 0.5 percent in Turkey and from 3.4 percent to 1.4 percent in Antalya in 2020. Normally, the population of Turkey should increase by 1 million 100 thousand, the population of Antalya should increase by about 80 thousand, while the increase in 2020 was 459 thousand in Turkey and 36 thousand in Antalya.

Due to the decline in 2020, the population growth rate began to normalize in 2021, increased to 1.2 percent in Turkey and 2.7 percent in Antalya.

Population growth should be managed by sustainable urbanization. Antalya, with its charm, will continue to receive immigration in the process after that. Qualified migration will undoubtedly add value to our city. On the other hand, these data also give us the message that Antalya’s population growth should be supported by sustainable urbanization and strong infrastructure investments.”
