Eyelid Aesthetics in Turkey

The eyelid is a special organ due to the fact that it has the thinnest structure of the body, moves constantly and is easily affected by environmental factors. When the eyelid is deformed due to different reasons, the appearance of the person’s face literally changes, and a tired and old face is constantly formed. It is possible to eliminate such aesthetic losses occurring in and around the eye, and aesthetic attempts made in this direction are called blepharoplasty.

The biggest factor that causes changes in the eyelids are the wrinkles and bags that form around the eyes after the age of 30. As age progresses, the skin of the eyelids relaxes and their tension decreases, and the eyebrows pile up over the eyes, causing problems to occur to such an extent that they block the viewing angle. Wrinkles occur on the forehead due to eyebrow lifting performed reflexively in order to expand the visual angle, causing losses in facial aesthetics.

How is Eyelid Aesthetics Performed?

Eyelid aesthetics are performed in order to achieve a more aesthetic appearance on the face, a more holistic view and to eliminate the loss of visual angle caused by the sagging of the eyelid. Eyelid miscarriage can occur due to aging-related effects, as well as it can be congenital. According to the low lid, all the problems that occur on and around the eyelid can be eliminated by applying different surgical methods. Eyelid plastic surgeries are performed under local or general anesthesia depending on the patient’s request and the doctor’s recommendation.

In upper eyelid aesthetic attempts, the operation is started with incisions made from the fold line of the eyelid and on the lower eyelid just below the eyelashes. After repairing the muscle and connective tissue on the lower and upper eyelid, removing excess skin and fat, the surgical incisions are closed so that there are no scars. Thus, the skin structure on the eyelids becomes tense, allowing the person to achieve a younger and more lively appearance. There is no pain or pain during the operation. The patient can be discharged after the operation and return to his normal life.

After Eyelid Aesthetics

A patient who has eyelid aesthetics done should wait between 1 week and 10 days to continue his work life and work-related social activities Decently. However, the patient can return to activities such as reading books, watching TV for periods that will not tire the eye within 2-3 days following the surgery. After the operation, the patient should avoid exposure to sunlight, dust, wind and dirty air for about 2-3 weeks, should not do weight lifting, bending-getting up movements for a certain period of time, should use eye drops and sunglasses if prescribed by a physician.
