EMOTIONAL WELLNESS HAS SIX-DIMENSIONAL MODELING

Wellness, which we have often heard about in recent years, is a concept that has physical, environmental, emotional, intellectual, professional and spiritual components. The Turkish doctor treats wellness with a six-dimensional modeling. These include:

1- Social dimension,

2- Professional dimension

3- Spiritual dimension

4- Physical dimension

5- Intellectual dimension

6- Emotional dimension

Emotional wellness, which is one of these dimensions, includes issues such as awareness of our feelings, understanding them and being able to manage them efficiently,”  Turkey Medicals member and psychologist shared with us what to do for emotional wellness…

Take care of your every emotion, but don’t feed your negative emotions:

All our emotions are in our best interests, and they all tell us something. It is quite normal to feel negative emotions from time to time. But what if these negative emotions dominate our lives? Moreover, what if we use our negative emotions to sabotage ourselves? Let me give you an example right away. Let’s say we’re someone who often feels angry. Even when we are trying to calm down, if we are talking about issues that make us feel bad, we are a person who feeds his anger. Yes, let’s feel all our emotions, not suppress them. But let’s feed only the positive ones. So let’s pay attention to our conversations all the time during the day and see if we feed on the negative or the positive.

Learn stress management well:

Stress is a part of our lives. We can’t avoid stress, but we can learn to manage it well. You can work with a psychologist on stress management. In addition, do not forget to create breathing spaces for yourself often during the day. It should be remembered that it is the best stress management to devote time to our spiritual care, such as brushing your teeth every day. You can also use methods such as yoga or meditation to manage stress.

Live a regular life:

The path to spiritual and, of course, physical health passes through balance and wholeness. Let’s say you’re going through a difficult time spiritually. And for this you see a psychologist. Just seeing a psychologist will do you some good to some extent. In addition, you should live a balanced life. Going to bed early, getting up early, playing sports regularly and eating healthy if you don’t have any health problems have a positive effect on our mental health. Our body and soul are one whole, and they endlessly influence each other.

Deconstruct your lifestyle:

You are also aware that there is a relationship between what you watch, read, and your stress level. Pay attention to the films, serials that you are watching on television this week. If most of what you’re watching is violent, it’s not so surprising that you feel stressed. Are you sure you want to fill your brain and mind with such violent movies? How about paying attention to what you’re watching from today? Also, please pay attention to the music you are listening to from today on. Research shows that the type of music we listen to affects our mood. No matter what your musical taste is, don’t forget to listen to music that calms you down during the day.

Surround yourself with positive friends:

How is your circle of friends made up of people? Are there people around you who take you up? Otherwise, the situation is the opposite? Having positive friends in our lives is one of the most important events for emotional wellness. If your group of friends usually consists of people who humiliate you, look negatively at life, then it’s time to find new friends for yourself.
