In particular, an eating disorder at night, triggered by mood disorders, is manifested by a state of excessive appetite in the evening, and in the morning by loss of appetite and anorexia. Night eating disorder syndrome, defined as one of the eating disorders, is characterized by the fact that a person wakes up from a night’s sleep and consumes a lot of food immediately after dinner, although it has not yet been eaten.

So much so that people with nighttime eating disorder syndrome experience problems such as not being able to fall asleep without eating, and serious problems occur with their sleep patterns. Behind this syndrome often lie problems such as sleep disorders and stopping breathing during sleep.

One of the most common surprising situations in people with nighttime eating syndrome is waking up full in the morning. This condition causes the person to skip several meals.

A person who does not get enough nutrients in the morning feels an irresistible desire to meet his nutritional needs in the evening and at night. A person who wakes up full in the morning gets the amount of calories he needs to take daily with snacks that he eats after dinner. Therefore, it is accompanied by irrepressible weight problems.

There may be physiological and psychological reasons behind the syndrome of eating at night. One of the most important actors of uncontrollable weight gain is the syndrome of eating at night, which encourages a person to prefer foods that give happiness and raise blood sugar.

Besides that;

– Anxiety,

– Psychological problems,

– Diabetes,

– Obesity,

– Hormonal causes can also cause nighttime eating syndrome.

In order to be able to talk about the syndrome of eating at night, it is first necessary to wake up from a night’s sleep and eat at least for three weeks. In the same way, it is important that he does not have breakfast in the morning, that he wants to overeat from dinner until bedtime, that he thinks that he cannot fall asleep without eating, and that this condition has been going on for at least 3 months.

In addition, people with nocturnal eating disorders have a lack of focus on sleep due to the desire to eat at least 4 days a week.
