Dermabrasion is an application developed to correct the scars left by accidents, surgeries and acne in a person. This application, which serves to correct the appearance, allows the damaged epidermis ( upper skin) layer to be removed by peeling and the new skin layer to come. The incoming new layer has a smooth, clean and fresh structure. The skin becomes more beautiful and healthy. Dermabrasion is quickly delivered to the skin with a vacuum device with thin crystals on it, ensuring the removal of dead cells located in the epidermis.

Instead, the new skin structure becomes soft, healthy and smooth. There is no difference in skin color tone. New tissues begin to form under the skin and collagen production increases. The procedure can be performed using local or general anesthesia depending on the width of the area where dermabrasion will be applied. A person who has been given local anesthesia can go home on the same day, while a person who has been given general anesthesia can go home the next day. After surgery, a light dressing is done to the operation area and left open. As epithelization will be completed within 24 hours, the next day the person can touch the place where the application is made. after the procedure, there is no bleeding or pain. The procedure takes about 30-40 minutes. It is completed in 3-6 sessions. Healing of the applied areas ranges from 1-2 weeks.

It is necessary to apply sunscreen creams and moisturizing creams. Sunscreen creams should be at least 30 SPF. At the end of 12 months, the percentage of pigments complements itself. Therefore, it is necessary to use sunscreens for 1 year. If the area where the operation is performed is in an open place on the skin, there is no need to close it. But in clothing that can be closed, it should be covered with a dressing. The duration of healing of wounds starts from 1 Week.

Areas that begin to heal become pink and bright. Their full recovery ranges from 3 to 6 months. There will be tone differences between the places where the application is made and the places where it is not made. This condition will improve within 1 month. After surgery, it is necessary to stay away from the sun. Sauna and intensive exercises should not be done. After dermabrasion, temporary spots, whiteness or brown color changes may occur on the skin. Again, small whiteness called milia can occur. These situations will go away on their own.
