MIRACLE TECHNOLOGY OF DENTISTRY: LASER

Laser technology is safely used in both health and aesthetic dentistry from the buried 20-year-old dental operation to teeth whitening.

Dental laser technology, which has been used in medical practice since the 60s, is safely used in both gum and dental and bone operations, as well as teeth whitening in dentistry. The biggest complaints we have heard from our patients for many years have been the fear of needles, the uncomfortable feeling caused by drowsiness, the sound and vibration created by our devices. Since there is no contact with the tissue during laser procedures, the occurrence of pain is much less than in classical methods and most of the time there is no need for anesthesia. It is also extremely quiet.

In addition to this comfort, the laser provides great convenience to dentist patients in Turkey with special conditions such as pregnancy, allergy to anesthesia, bleeding problems, fear of the dentist. As a result of laser treatment, there is no risk of damage to a different tissue when working in the tissue, and it is impossible to store laser energy in the body. We can collect laser applications in oral and dental health under two main headings as laser applications in dental treatment and laser teeth whitening.

.
LASER TEETH WHITENING

Whitening is a procedure for discoloration of teeth and is performed by laser or light method. When done correctly, it does not damage the teeth and gums. In the majority of cases, a pronounced discoloration is achieved. This procedure can usually be done in one session, but depending on the response of your teeth to whitening, two or more sessions may be required. A laser or light system is used to activate the whitening system. Office-type whitening can also be applied to canal-treated teeth. In this case, the tooth is whitened with a laser both from the inside and from the outside. The whitening process applied by taking the necessary precautions is a safe practice if the patient pays attention to the issues we have warned about. There is no harm to the teeth and gums. Unlike the home whitening system, the patient is not exposed to chemicals because the patient’s saliva is absorbed during the office whitening procedure.

During the days following the procedure, smoking and coloring foods (such as cola drinks, tea, coffee) should definitely not be consumed. If you feel uncomfortable or experience any problems, you should contact your doctor immediately. The effectiveness of whitening depends on the tone of our teeth before starting the whitening process and varies from person to person. The life of whitening treatment is on average three years. But this period may vary depending on the patient’s tea, coffee, smoking habits. After whitening treatment, whitening toothpastes, thin brush-shaped whitening pencils, and household whitening methods can be used according to the Turkish dentist’s recommendation. These applications extend the life of the whitening. Laser applications in the treatment of gums are used in the following areas:

.
ROOT CANAL TREATMENT

It has been observed that treatment success increases when laser sterilization of the root canals is performed during treatment.

.
APHTHAE-HERPES TREATMENTS

After laser intervention, the improvement in aphthae and herpes reaches the next stage in one session, seven days.

.
GINGIVECTOMY-GINGIVOPLASTY

In aesthetic smile design, in all aesthetic studies, after orthodontics; both in terms of health and aesthetically, it is the preparation of the gum. When the procedure is performed with a laser, it is finished in one session, most often without anesthesia, without bleeding. Other treatments can be started without waiting for any recovery period.

.
BIOSTIMULATION BY LASER

No matter which tissue is given, cell division is accelerated by laser energy and the healing process is shortened by half.

.
DEPIGMENTATION (TREATMENT OF GUM DISCOLORATION)

Discolorations caused by pigment condensation that occur due to various factors or genetic causes on the gum are peeled off, such as laser peeling, often without anesthesia. The patient gets pink gums without having to make changes in his routine life.

.
CARIES CLEANING

Caries formed on the dentin or cementum of the tooth enamel is most often cleaned without the need for anesthesia.

.
CURETTAGE

This is a laser removal of the inflammation caused by dental stones under the gum. Most often it is administered without anesthesia, and the destruction in the tissue heals much faster.

.
FRENECTOMY

There may be irreversible problems in the long term due to the involvement of the ligaments located between the lip-tongue, lip-dec in the anterior region, cheek-gum. With a short intervention without the need for anesthesia, this deformation is corrected. All formations in the mouth, such as soft tissue lesions other than normal, are removed with a laser without the need for suturing.

.
SURGICAL PROCEDURES

All surgical procedures performed on bone tissue (implant, 20-year-old operations, bone corrections, etc.) it can be done with a laser in a much more trauma-free way and the healing process is much better.

.
DENTAL SENSITIVITY TREATMENT

Cold sensitivity caused by gum retraction is resolved in a single session as a result of laser energy blocking the dentin channels.

.
LASER ASSISTED IMPLANT

Before the application of a laser-assisted implant, a three-dimensional computed tomography is taken from the patient to obtain detailed information about the width and depth of the bone tissue in which the implant will be placed. In this application, only the area of the gum to be implanted is opened using any of the erbium, diode, Nd:YAG, CO2 lasers. After reaching the bone tissue, a cavity with the diameter of the implant is opened with an erbium laser in the compact part of the bone, which is the hardest part. An implant is inserted into the opened cavity. After laser-assisted implant application in Turkey, diode or Nd: YAG laser biostimulation is performed. Thanks to this application, the pain that may occur after surgery is eliminated and tissue healing is accelerated.

.
WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES?

In laser-assisted implant applications, the recovery period after operation is short because the operation is performed only in the area where the implant will be applied.

Erbium; all kinds of bone surgery operations and implant applications with the hydrokinetic cutting technique of YSSG lasers can be performed without damaging the bone tissue, without thermal damage, and thus bone boiling after the operation is at the maximum level.

Before the application, three-dimensional computed tomography is taken from the patient and all the details about the width and depth of the bone tissue where the implant will be placed are obtained. Thus, no surprises are encountered during the operation and the operation is completed in a short time.

All On Four and Columbus Bridge methods, which are now being applied worldwide, heal faster when applied with laser support because there are no open wounds and prevent food accumulation because there are no stitches, making it easier to use teeth after surgery.

In cases where a single tooth is missing, laser-assisted implant bone when the implant is immediately applied on the implant also CAD-CAM ceramic reconstruction by the method of two hours at a time like a permanent tooth can be made available by pasting it to the patient in Turkey clinic.
