SIMPLE METHODS FOR DENTAL HEALTH

By now, you’ve probably heard most of the dentist’s recommendations before. Brush twice a day, floss, don’t eat sugary foods, etc. Are there other things you can do to improve your dental health? Turkey Medicals, “here we discuss 3 less well-known methods to make your teeth and gums as healthy as possible.”

1- One apple a day

You may have heard the saying ”one apple a day keeps the doctor away”. But who would have thought that this also applies to your dentist? Apples help cleanse your teeth and gums, as well as provide healthy vitamins that support overall health. Of course, apples are no substitute for brushing. But they ensure that your oral hygiene improves.

2- Soda with water

You already know that carbonated drinks are bad for your teeth, but you still like to drink them. In this case, you should proceed with a glass of water immediately after the carbonated drink. This helps to dilute the acidic effect of soda on your teeth. But a sugary soda is more dangerous than soda because of its carbohydrate content and not only softens tooth enamel, but also is a source of nutrients for bacteria in the oral environment.

3- Brushing too often

Although it is important to brush your teeth regularly and thoroughly, you should also be careful not to over-brush. This is a more common problem than you might think. Brushing your teeth too hard and more than three times a day can erode tooth enamel and irritate the gums. Plaque is a soft substance that can be removed by brushing relatively gently, so do not brush it too hard. But also be sure to brush it for two minutes.
