CORONA STRESS IS SHEDDING HAIR

Dermatologist Dr. pointed out that corona virus stress is also effective in increasing hair loss these days as well as changing the season and explained the solutions.

Each strand of hair lives for 4-6 years, then rests and then falls out. Hair loss in this way is natural, and 50-100 strands of hair loss per day is normal. If it falls out more than this number, if the amount of hair that comes into the hand while bathing has increased, or if we have 3-5 strands of hair when we pull washed dried hair manually, this should be taken seriously.

Shedding can have very different causes. Although it is very clear that stress causes hair loss, during this period, unfortunately, the number of people who suffer from hair loss has increased due to both seasonal and corona virus effects. Months of efforts not to get sick have affected our hair health as well as our psychology. And the fact that we’ve been locked up in houses for months has been instrumental in that.

On the other hand, high fever observed in people with Covid-19 disease and some medications used to treat the disease also caused hair loss during this period.

.
A BALANCED DIET IS NEEDED

Although stress leads to hair loss, hormonal imbalances, some vitamin and mineral deficiencies are also effective in this problem. Regular and balanced diet, long-term hunger, uniform nutrition is also effective. If the hair is low in vitamins and minerals such as B12, vitamin D, folic acid, biotin, zinc, iron, the hair cannot be fed and falls out.

Red meat should be consumed 2-3 days a week. Because meat contains both B12 and iron. As folic acid is high in green leafy greens, they should be consumed as raw as possible. Folic acid is also present in fish. In summary, for hair health, you need to eat a balanced diet.

.
EXPERT HELP SHOULD BE SOUGHT IF IT EXCEEDS 2 MONTHS

If the duration of hair loss exceeds 2 months, it requires expert help, as it can be a harbinger of some serious diseases. Hair loss usually begins 3-4 months after the trigger factor and these factors can return to normal 6-12 months after treatment. Misdirections and hearsay from the environment can cause patients to waste time. If there is an important underlying cause, it may be late in diagnosis and treatment. For this reason, you should definitely get support from a dermatologist in Turkey.
