MESTER SETS UP TIP LINE TO COMBAT UNDER-STAIR AESTHETICS

All of Turkey witnessed what happened to applied silicone in a hairdresser. Like this, those who do Botox in cafes, those who run a beauty center without a license, centers that employ people without expertise, and even worse, those who practice aesthetics with unhealthy materials such as construction silicone… This condition, which we call under-stairs applications in aesthetics, has hurt many people and even cost them their lives. The Society for Medical Aesthetic Medicine also warned citizens against unhealthy practices and set up a WhatsApp Tip Line in Turkey for foreigners.

Although Turkey has reached an important point among the countries of the world in terms of aesthetics and beauty practices, it is also a country where under-stairs practices performed by non-experts are often seen. President of the Medical Aesthetic Medicine Association in Turkey, who stated this important issue both creates negative thoughts towards experts and endangers public health in Turkey.

MEDICAL PROCEDURES ARE CONSIDERED BY TURKISH LAW

Aesthetic and beauty applications, including botox, filler, prp, hair transplant, tattoo removal, spot treatment and laser treatments, are considered ‘medical procedures’ according to the law. Specialist doctors in Turkey and physicians with medical aesthetic practice certificates are allowed to do so only in medical institutions. Hairdressers, beauticians or Turkish aestheticians do not have the right and authority to perform such practices, which qualify as medical procedures; beauty salons and centers and hairdressers are among the places where these procedures cannot be performed.

President Dr. said that “by acting in violation of the legal regulations, informing people and/or businesses that ignore public health to the association to initiate the necessary legal actions would be an important step in protecting public health:”

.
TURKISH HAIRDRESSERS CAN’T DO THESE PROCEDURES

“15/12/2016 date and 2016/844 of The Council of State Administrative Litigation Departments in accordance with the provisions of the regulation on outpatient diagnosis and treatment of Turkey Private Medical Institutions confirmed by the decision no.; and again medical procedures considered in accordance with the law, with doctors and certified medical aesthetic specialist physicians practice in the health institutions permitted to be made Botox, fillers, PRP, hair, tattoo removal, spot treatment, laser beauty and aesthetic methods such as initiatives for, unfortunately, doctors medical aesthetics practice without certificate, even by non physician is practiced in inappropriate places hardware. Hairdressers, beauticians or aestheticians are not allowed by law to perform such practices, which qualify as medical procedures.

Turkey beauty salons and centers and hairdressers in Istanbul are among the places where such medical procedures cannot be performed. Aesthetic Medicine Medical Society, all our people, for aesthetic and beauty treatments can have extremely important consequences for human health, and therefore the competent public authority which is designated by the Ministry of Health on the subject of environments and physical conditions that the physician provide the relevant the owner of the certificate and/or should be made by a specialist physician, where these conditions are not met, we would like to remind you that interventions performed by certified physicians or non-specialist physicians, regardless of experience, carry very serious health risks.

Turkey Medicals said “Do not endanger your health in Turkey on heavily discounts or cheap priced holiday treatment packages, nor bonuses” and ask a lot of questions.
