EAT ACCORDING TO YOUR BODY CLOCK

”It is very important for a healthy life what you eat, as well as when you eat,” says Turkish Biochemistry and Anti-Aging Specialist Dr. who drew attention to the benefits of ‘circadian nutrition’ applied according to body clock.

When we usually focus on healthy foods, but we ignore “when” to eat these foods. However, Biochemistry and Anti-Aging Expert Dr. Who stated that we should pay attention to our meal hours as well as the foods we will consume. “At this point, it is necessary to be fed circadian, that is, according to the body clock,” said. So what is circadian nutrition? How is it applied? What effects does it have on the body? Here are the answers to these questions.

.
WHAT IS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE BIOLOGICAL CLOCK?

All living things living on Earth; plants, animals and humans are programmed to be compatible with the seasons and day-night cycles. This is called the circadian rhythm (biological clock). Biologically, this compatibility of ours was known. But scientific studies over the past few years have proven the importance of this adaptation in terms of health. From a medical point of view, I can explain the topic called “circadian rhythm”, which means “biological internal clock”, as follows… Inside the body, there are biological clocks on each cell. The main center of these clocks is in the brain. The center in the brain determines the time of day from the wavelength length, color and intensity of the light of the sun coming into the eye. It sends this data to all organs at the same time. Thus, information about the sun, light, season is transmitted to the cells. This is a survival mechanism, so we have to figure it out to survive. In ancient times, people used to find prey and food when there was light, and when it was night, they switched to hiding and resting in the cave. It’s been like this for millions of years.

.
WHY IS OUR BODY CLOCK BROKEN?

Our circadian internal clocks got confused when they went out of the normal day rhythm. Electricity was found, and it was necessary to go to bed early, while the night was prolonged by light. The circadian internal rhythm of sleep and wakefulness is disturbed. Just like the light from the sun gives information from the eye to the brain, foods share the information inside them with us as we eat them. The food consumed carries information about what season, in what geography it grows. Because the plants and animals that we eat as food also grow according to their internal clocks using the light of the sun. But we do not get the right information from them when we feed on bagged foods with an extended shelf life, foods that are not in season, animals that are given synthetic feed that have not been grown in a natural environment. In other words, both modern indoor life, fake lights (electronics, lighting), and fake food deconstruct the harmony between our biological vitality and the world. Our wristwatch and our biological internal clock are incompatible. We’re getting older faster than our wristwatch. This way of life and nutrition does not fit into our natural biology and the cost is heavy.

.
WHAT IS CIRCADIAN NUTRITION?

The night work of our body is different from the day work. The night is the time of rest-detox-repair of all organs, cells. Without this renewal, we would get old and worn out very quickly. Overnight regeneration involves finding old cells, destroying them and replacing them with new ones. These cleaning and repairing jobs are most dormant, but they happen to be dormant when you are hungry. So the circadian internal clock does not want food to be consumed at night. Night hours are not a time for digestion. But when something is eaten, this clock breaks down. As soon as food enters the body, the circadian signals stop resting and regenerating and switch to the mode of digesting this food. Anyway, what I want to tell you about ‘circadian nutrition’ is this biorhythm. During daylight hours, when there is more sunlight, the cells are more capable of burning the energy of nutrients. It is suitable for storing nutrients as weight instead of burning them with darkness at night. However, we sleep later with artificial light and get our food later. In other words, in fact, weight and related health problems are related to eating outside the circadian rhythm, as well as consuming processed foods. The duo of night hunger and night sleep is important not only for losing weight, but also for recovery from all diseases. Because cell biology is like this, and with this excellent biological rhythm that has been formed over these millions of years, our stubbornness over the last few centuries has paid us as numerous and increasing diseases. In summary, if it comes to food, our internal hours are not suitable for eating at night. It’s not about weight or calories here. After all, we have a biological clock, and we must eat accordingly. When we say healthy eating, we have added the missing part: Timing…

.
HOW IS IT APPLIED?

The circadian system is suitable for eating during the day, while it is not suitable at night. The simplest implementation is the completion of dinner at 17.00. This method is applied very easily.

.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS TO THE BODY?

Your internal organ lubrication decreases. Your waist area becomes thinner. Your sleep quality increases. During the period of fasting at night and during sleep, the renewal of your old cells increases. Your insulin resistance will improve. Your triglyceride levels and uric acid levels decrease. Therefore, your susceptibility to all diseases will be reduced.
