Turkey Medicals member and hospital Eye Health and Diseases Specialist Prof. Dr. said that glasses, surgery and botox treatment are used to treat strabismus, which can occur in both children and adults. He also explained how strabismus, which does not improve with glasses, is treated.

Stating that strabismus is not only an aesthetic problem, it can lead to eye laziness and psychological problems, Turkey Eye Health and Disease Specialist Prof. Dr. stated that the disease can occur for different reasons such as genetic factors and eye disorder.

The most common cause is eye disorders. Many strabismus children have strabismus and eye laziness together. If there is strabismus or eye laziness in the family, the risk of strabismus in the child increases. Sometimes causes such as a febrile illness, an accident provoke the appearance of strabismus.”

In some, strabismus muscle be due to paralysis of one or more of the eye muscles. Strabismus that occurs suddenly afterwards may be due to trauma, hypertension, or diabetes. Some of the strabismus that occurs in infancy and childhood are pseudo-shifts. A false shift can be a misleading image that may depend on the width of the root of the nose.
