SAFE SOLUTION TO MELTING TOOTH BONE PROBLEM

Is it possible to treat jawbone meltdown caused by a number of causes? This problem will be solved with the ‘box technique’ stating that oral, dental and maxillofacial surgery specialist Professor Doctor and Turkey Medicals member, explains the details on the issue.

.
WHAT IS BOX TECHNIQUE?

How is the Box technique applied? How is an implant made using the box technique? What is the advantage of Box technique? Here is the answer…

Turkey Antalya, Maxillofacial Surgery Specialist Prof. Dr. said,  as the result of regular oral care problems such as inflammation and bleeding in the gums can occur. As a result of long-term failure to treat these inflammatory diseases, the bone tissue is affected, and the problem can go as far as melting the jawbone.

Of course, the meltdown of the jawbone may not only be caused by an inflammation problem. In addition, a lack of teeth that occurs after trauma and tooth extraction can also cause the problem of melting the jawbone,” he said.

.
CREATING A BONE USING THE BOX TECHNIQUE

One of the biggest difficulties experienced when applying Implant therapy is bone loss that occurs after tooth extraction, said a professor of Maxillofacial Surgery Doctor said, “These losses are re-created with bone grafts and membranes taken from the patient or obtained artificially. The Box technique is a method developed for directed bone regeneration.

In this technique, bone is created by using materials that spontaneously melt in the mouth and are completely compatible with tissues. It allows bone additions to be made without the need to remove bone from the patient or by taking a limited amount,” he said.

.
WHAT IS THE ADVANTAGE OF THIS IMPLANT TECHNIQUE?

Professor Doctor adds, “In the dental box technique, polylactide acid absorbable materials (polylactide acid absorbable materials) are used.

Polylactide acid materials are materials that have been used for a long time in neuro surgery and maxillofacial surgery. Thanks to this material, the box technique for teeth implant surgeries in Turkey has been developed.

The Box technique best helps create a space to place the bone powders that will be used by the Turkish dentist. Due to the walls placed around the bone, the bone material is placed in the desired area. In this way, sufficient bone volume in the targeted area is created without the need for bone taken from the patient. A second surgical procedure is not required thanks to the melting materials.

The procedure is certainly much more comfortable for patients and minimizes the risk of trauma.

.
WHEN THE MATERIAL USED MELTS, IT IS COMPLETELY REMOVED FROM THE BODY

The polylactide acid materials used in this technique are a safe material that is tolerated by the body. After application, it does not cause inflammation. If the material melts, it is completely removed from the body; water and carbon dioxide are released,” he said.
