THE MISTAKES YOU KNOW ABOUT BOTOX APPLICATIONS ARE THE ONES YOU DON’T KNOW

Botulinum toxin, that is, botox, is a natural purified protein obtained by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. It is safely used in many areas such as the treatment of wrinkles, face contouring, excessive sweating and migraine treatment. Botox temporarily blocks nerve signals that cause muscle to contract, smoothing lines and wrinkles caused by repetitive facial movements.

Botox is one of the most popular non-surgical aesthetic procedures performed all over the world.

.
Turkey Medicals member and hospital Medical Aesthetics Doctor, she gave important information about the areas of use of botox injection that you do not know about for medical aesthetics in Antalya Turkey.

.
WHAT IS KNOWN WRONG ABOUT BOTOX!

Botox is not snake venom, contrary to what is known.

Addictive they are not.

It does not cause severe pain, as it is applied by thin-tipped needles.

The risk of side effects is low, except for the fact that it causes slight redness and tenderness on the face.

.
WHAT ARE THE TYPES OF BOTOX?

1- Forehead botox

Forehead wrinkles are horizontal lines that form at the top of the face and move with facial expressions. The fact that these lines are also noticeable in a static (while not mimicking) state is considered one of the first signs of aging, and these wrinkles are difficult to hide. Botox is one of the most preferred areas in practice to reduce wrinkles in the forehead area.

2- Glabella (decubitus) botox

Vertical lines that appear between and above your eyebrows when you frown can make you look tired, and sad. By reducing the depth of these lines with botox, it is possible to make them invisible.

3- Goose foot botox

Small lines extending from the sides of your eye when smiling or laughing are called crow’s feet. Goose feet can give away your advancing age. Botox injections are often used to eliminate these lines, lighten them, and prevent the appearance of a permanent line.

4- Eyebrow lifting botox

If your eyebrows are low and you are considering eyebrow lift aesthetics, surgery is not your only option. It is possible to remove eyebrows without surgery. Botox applied to the right points relaxes the muscles that pull the eyebrow down so that the eyebrow can muscle to its ideal position.

5- Gummy smile botox (Smile botox)

It is a condition when the gums appear more than 2 – 3 millimeters during laughing or talking. The fact that the gums look more than usual creates an unaesthetic appearance, but causes a lack of self-confidence in people. Gummy smile botox, also known as gum botox, is a procedure that is performed on the sides of the nostrils. Thanks to this application, you can have a perfect smile without surgery.

6- Brotoks (Men’s botox)

Brotoks is a botox application made for men. Due to the fact that the muscle structure and strength of men are different from women, brooks treatment should also be applied specifically. The masculine expression on the face should be made in such a way as to be preserved, and also be specially planned according to the characteristic facial structure and facial expression of each man.

7- Masseter botox (Chin botox)

Masseter botox application is an application method used to thin the masseter muscle located in the lower part of the face and used to treat deformities located in the lower parts of the face. Ideal jawlines differ in men and women. In men, the ideal chin consists of a square face shape, while in women it consists of thin and soft lines. A square face shape provides a strong expression in men, while a thin face shape in women provides a more feminine and aesthetic appearance, so that more proportional facial features can be achieved. Masseter botox application can be applied both aesthetically and due to a medical problem.

8- Neck and décolleté botox (Nefertiti botox)

This type of botox gets its name from the Egyptian queen Nefertiti, who has a long neck and a pronounced jawline. Usually, the first part where the wrinkle problem occurs is the neck area. Nefertiti botox application targets the neck and jaw line. After the procedure applied to these two areas, the sagging skin is pulled up and a more taut and smooth appearance is obtained by tightening. Thanks to this, the jawline is reconstructed and the appearance of the neck lines is minimized.

9- Teeth grinding and teeth tightening botox

Some people grind their teeth unwittingly while they are awake or usually asleep, and therefore serious dental problems can occur along with physical pain. This problem is called teething, that is, bruxism. Due to bruxism, problems such as tooth enamel loss, increased tooth sensitivity, flattening and cracking of the teeth can occur. At the same time, constant gnashing and squeezing of teeth also causes pain in the head, face, jaw and ears. Botox application is a very effective method for the treatment of problems caused by bruxism.

10- Sweating botox

Sweating affects both the work and personal life of a person, causing negative situations in their lives, and at the beginning of these negatives is the lack of self-confidence that they create in a person. These people usually say that they feel uncomfortable in public, that they cannot be free to choose clothes and shoes, and that they cannot shake people’s hands. For these reasons, they also express that their quality of life has decreased and their psychology has been negatively affected.

Sweating botox applied to the armpits (axilla), hands-palms and feet muscle prevents the muscles in the sweat glands from contracting with the botox effect and ensures that there is no sweating until its effect passes. After this procedure, which takes an average of 10-15 minutes, patients continue their daily lives.

11- Actor botox (Baby botox)

When botox is mentioned, many people think of a dull and expressionless face shape, but contrary to what is thought, it is possible to apply botox where the wrinkles on the face decrease, the facial expressions move and there is no dull expressionlessness. In Baby botox application, wrinkles are minimized by applying the appropriate dose of injection to the correctly marked points, while a dull facial expression does not occur and facial expressions can be used easily.

12- Migraine botox

Migraine botox is a treatment aimed at preventing the onset of chronic migraine attacks by controlling the weakening of excessive muscle contraction zones that cause the onset of migraine attacks. It is one of the most widely used alternative treatment methods for migraine.

The effect of botox begins to increase and appear within 3-4 days and reaches its maximum level in about 15 days. Although its effect varies depending on the person, it can persist for an average of 4 – 6 months.
.

When the effect of botox passes, area where the application was made will become old, so repeating the application will increase the durability and duration of the botox effect.
