INFORMATION FOR TURKISH VISA OR E-VISA UPTO 90 DAYS STAY
.
Ordinary e-passport holders require Visa to enter Turkey. The online e-Visa is valid only 30 days when the purpose of travel is Tourism or Commerce (+ valid Schengen, USA, UK, Ireland visa or residence permit) as additional support document at arrival to Turkish airport or border.

For other purpose travels, such as Tourism, Medical, or Business and Education, single or multiple-entry sticker Visa in passport upto 90 days must be obtained at Turkish Embassy or Consulate missions abroad.

The period of stay in Turkey provided by the e-visa, visa, or visa exemption, cannot exceed 90 days within a period of 180 days for touristic, medical, student, commercial, other purpose travels.

In case that foreigners, who have stayed in turkey 90 days within the 180 day period, and come to turkey again; (unless there is another matter preventing them from entering into turkey at the airport and border gates), they may enter without Visas and are required to enter into Turkey by filling the V.84 residence permit conditional entry information form and declares that you will apply for Residence permit ID card, at the Turkish Immigration governorate within ten (10) days of the entry date, a second chance.

Foreigners who have arrived at the border gates to enter into turkey and do not have passport or travel document valid for at least 60 days as of expiration date of the visa, visa exemption, residence or work permit will not enter into turkey.

TOURIST VISA EXTENSION TO TOURISTIC RESIDENCE PERMIT

The first migration rule to foreigner entered Turkey within 1 year before with passport, may lodge residence permit application online and book appointment date advanced in the Migration system before entering Turkey by Visa, and may arrive for convenience 1-2 days before the Migration appointment to complete process.

Foreigners entering first-time with 1-90 day Visa within the first 30 days, and Visa upto 30 days before the expiration are eligible to apply for residence permit after entered in Turkey, and wait till appointment date depending on home the address location and congestion

From 5 million foreigner applications lodged to Göç İdaresi govt migration offices in Turkey 1 million Turkish residence permit is issued, 50% from Istanbul and 50% from other 80 provinces combined.

STEP 2 – TO START ONLINE APPLICATION IN TURKEY AND BOOK  APPOINTMENT DATE AND TIME YOU SHALL ATTEND, YOU (OR REPRESENTATIVE) REQUIRE TO TAKE LOCAL HOME ADDRESS IN TURKEY AND TURKISH HEALTH INSURANCE, AT THE MINIMUM.

The province of home address is the (same district / provincial government Migration office) location applied to. Once your residence is concluded you may still continue to travel as tourist, study, work or establish company and business, change an address or stay in other provinces within the boundaries of Turkey.

How long does it take for application started and concluded? The government Migration office at 81 provinces are available for foreigners nationwide, however appointment wait, process-time and ID card delivery varies, in Istanbul province is 3-4 months, Ankara is 2-3 months, and 1 month or less in Antalya and smaller population beach towns and holiday resorts.

RESIDENCE IS PERMISSION TO LIVE IN TURKEY OVER 90 DAYS
.
In this case, the foreigner should rent a home in Turkey for address and make Turkish bank deposit for local and economic establishment, and obtain valid Turkish health insurance covering the requested duration to stay.

Note for first time e-ikamet residence application in Istanbul province may require extra documents as local Turkish govt hospital health report and police clearance from Turkish courthouse, for public safety and health in Istanbul province.

The requested period of stay, on online application form should meet the same validity period of documents for example upto 1 or 2 year valid; Passport, Rental contract notarized or Tapu for local Turkish address, Turkish health insurance for residence permit, additional support documents.

In addition you should obtain, Turkish mobile number (for sms), state Tax number, and Turkish bank balance X months you wish to stay equal to the Turkish min wage index (even if you do not work in Turkey) and present to the Turkish migration official, to easily complete your application process on same day.

STEP 3 – YOU MAY ARRIVE 1-2 DAYS BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT TO iRESIDENCE OFFICE TO COMPLETE YOUR DOCUMENTS. ON APPOINTMENT DATE AND TIME YOU SHALL BE REQUIRED TO GIVE ORIGINAL SUPPORT DOCUMENTS TO MATCH YOUR APPLICATION INPUT AND DECLARATION.

Foreigners may continue to stay in Turkey till their application is concluded. At the appointment the applicant to pay the govt residence fee + ID card fee, shall be issued soft copy ‘e-ikamet Residence for 90 days stay’ at no extra charge, and then to collect the hard copy e-ikamet Residence permit ID Card in 10-15 days from the PTT post office.

The e-ikamet residence permit ID card does not require continuous stay in Turkey and will simply expire on the date on back.

FOREIGNERS NEW TO ENTER TURKEY CUSTOMS BORDERS / AIRPORTS BY TOURIST VISA OR E-VISA AND WHO OBTAINED TOURISTIC RESIDENCE PERMIT ID CARD (WITH 6 MONTHS REMAINING) MAY AT ANYTIME FIND JOBS IN TURKEY AND APPLY TO MINISTRY OF LABOR AND SOCIAL SECURITY WITH THEIR EMPLOYER TOGETHER, FOR FOREIGNER WORK PERMIT ID CARD TO BE ISSUED QUICK.

2020 – 2021 RESIDENCE PERMIT EXTENSION IN TURKEY procedure to submit renewal documents by mail is ended May 2019. In the new period at 81 provinces, incl Antalya, Istanbul, Izmir, Ankara, Bodrum, Aydin, Mugla, Marmaris, foreigners shall submit extension application online and (be present at determined appointment date and hour) at district / provincial (Göç İdaresi) Directorates of Migration Management office, same as home address location.
