HOW TO USE ANTIBIOTICS FOR TOOTH EXTRACTION?

Antibiotics are a very important group of drugs that, when used correctly, save lives in some cases. The use of antibiotics before and after tooth extraction by dentist in Turkey is therefore very important. Many people who will or have had dental treatment also have a number of questions on their mind. “When should I take antibiotics?”, “Is antibiotics used before tooth extraction?”

Is antibiotics used after having an Implant?

Bacteria used in dentistry are bactericidal, that is, antibiotics that have a lethal effect on bacteria. It is a big mistake to use it unless necessary, as it will also kill the body’s beneficial bacteria.

Should I take antibiotics before I have a tooth removed?

This is the picture that we dentists face the most. Our patients want to take medication to feel safe before the shooting. Contrary to popular belief, the use of antibiotics in dentistry is very limited.

The second layer is the dentin layer. In this area, the bruise begins to manifest itself, and the patient begins to feel pain in the hot and cold.

How does a bruise form, how does it cause pain?

The outer layer of the teeth has three layers, the protective layer of the tooth is the enamel layer. In this layer where the decay begins, the patient feels nothing.

After the dentin layer, the decay that progresses to the nerves of the tooth, that is, to the pulp (essence) layer, begins to give unbearable pain.

After the body’s response to caries bacteria, it causes severe pain, as the nerves begin to hit the tooth wall.

For this reason, the patient feels swelling in the area where the rotten tooth is located and thinks that his face is swollen and wants to take medication. In fact, this situation only gives the message ‘you should go to the dentist’.

When Should antibiotics be used?

At the beginning of the most important cases comes prophylaxis. Prophylaxis refers to the use of drugs to prevent bacteria before surgical procedures in Turkey dentistry.

If the patient has a heart valve prosthesis, if he has hereditary heart conditions, if he has a history of febrile rheumatism, he should definitely use antibiotics before the procedures.

An infection caused by teeth grows and affects the body’s system, if the patient gives symptoms of fever, weakness and chills, he should definitely use antibiotics in consultation with his doctor.

How is antibiotic use after Implant?

The mucosa inside the mouth has a semi-permeable structure. It is in constant contact with all beneficial and harmful bacteria.

We have to protect our wound area from these pathogens both during and after implant surgery.

How should patients behave?

Patients should be protected from a possible surprise pain table by undergoing a regular dentist check-up every 6 months.

He should share all his past illnesses with the dentist and fully fulfill his doctor’s recommendations.
