WHAT IS THE MOST SUITABLE SEASON FOR AESTHETIC OPERATIONS IN TURKEY?

Antalya memorial hospital Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Specialist Op. Dr. noted that the most suitable season for aesthetic operations is winter, adding: “Aesthetic surgeries can be successfully performed in any season today. But autumn, especially the winter season, is much more advantageous in terms of the recovery process,” he said.

A Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Specialist who is one of the first surgeons to apply the Preservation rhinoplasty method in Turkey and continues his studies at his clinic located in Samsun, Op. Dr. “Aesthetic operations in Turkey are one of the most preferred surgical interventions today. It improves the quality of life of people with successful results, especially when applied in experienced hands,” he said.

.
THE SKIN BECOMES SENSITIVE TO THE SUN

Stating that these operations can be applied every season thanks to the opportunities offered by technology, Op. Dr. noted that the autumn-winter months are more advantageous in terms of the healing process, saying, “In general, the skin becomes sensitive to the sun after aesthetic surgeries. From this point of view, the winter period makes a great contribution to the healing process. Spending time at home after the operation, such as using a corset, does not cause problems because the weather is cold. We also encounter the problem of edema less often in winter. For all these reasons, we recommend our patients to choose mostly winter months for the operation if their calendar is suitable,” he said.

.
HOT WEATHER CAN INCREASE FACIAL SWELLING

Seasonal conditions are much more important for those who are considering having nose surgery, neck lift, botox, filler, laser and PRP procedures done to the face area, and said, “While it is possible to directly protect other areas from the sun’s rays through clothing, there is no very effective solution for the face other than sunscreen” said, “We are trying to prefer the winter season especially for nose surgery. Because swelling and bruising can be seen on the face after the operation. Hot weather can increase both swelling and bruising on the face. In addition to the effect of hot weather, if you have an allergic reaction in the spring and summer, having a nose job again during this period slows down the healing process. Therefore, when rhinoplasty in Turkey is performed in winter, the healing process is faster,”he said.

.
BE SURE TO TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR IN TURKEY

Op. Dr. noted that cold months are more advantageous if more than one aesthetic procedure will be performed in the same operation in Turkey,”Of course, this does not mean that combined operations cannot be performed in summer. It is very important that you talk to your Turkish doctor about what you need to do before and after combined surgery, decide on the date together. With the right planning, it is quite possible to achieve successful results in all seasons,” he said.
